MA FEMME EST UNE ACTRICE (2001)

With real life couple Charlotte Gainbourg & Yvan Attal as, respectively, film actress & sports reporter, this romantic comedy about his secondary position/jealousy provides (very) modest pleasures if you’re in a sleepy mood. (The set up isn't all that different than the initial Spencer Tracy/Katherine Hepburn pairing, WOMAN OF THE YEAR/'42) Claude Berri produced and the low achievement level from a reasonable concept is tres Berri-esque. The only real emotion comes in seeing that Terence Stamp, as Gainbourg’s vain acting partner and possible compromisee, has finally lost his glamour.
