BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS (2003)

With a painfully busy camera/editing technique, Stephen Fry ’s well structured adaptation of Waugh’s scabrous VILE BODIES is determined to let all the pretty titled &/or rich swells of ‘30s Brit society off easy. He likes them too much to do this story justice. He sure called in the favors with that cast, but the lackluster lead, Stephen Campbell Moore, only demonstrates the fix we’re in as Hugh Grant ages.
