Not your typical mindless Betty Grable WWII happy-go-lucky Fox musical, but no better for the attempt. Grable & an unsympathetic June Haver play the tru-life eponymous twins for nigh on thirty years without a speck of aging make-up in this bowdlerized bio-pic. John Payne (all too believable as an also-ran) is the performer/composer who romances Betty and comes between the girls and their career. The first half is tolerable stuff, but then the melodrama takes over and everything bogs down.
